Once the end has been swung into position, the high line is relaxed and the bridge settles back down into it's original position on the pier. It sat right back into it's spot, and was almost perfectly located. Almost – it was about 3” too far to the right as you see it here. The framed slot for the center support beam didn't quite line up. We will have to lift it back up just a little bit and then use rock bars to slide it over. (photo by Bill Taggart)
