The bridge has now been raised high enough to clear the center support, and is ready to be drawn across and back into position. The end just out of view off the left side is perched on it's original piling, tied off to prevent it from doing anything other than pivoting – hopefully, back into place as we reset this end. The sideways pull by the rope has begin, and the belay is being slowly released as the bridge end is swung back to where it belongs on the pier. (photo by Monica Day)
