The first step will be to lift this end back up onto the pier. Here, Pete Zuroff and James Mott are securing the strap which will be used to draw the section onto the pier once it has been lifted. David has readied the lifting cradle and chains and they are under gentle tension while the other strap is set. The lift will be almost straight up, pulled from a spar pulley positioned up the tree right next to the pier.
